Change Career - Take A Hypnosis Course and Become a Hypnotherapist

Many people reach a stage in the life and career when they realise they are longer excited by their occupation. Maybe you are one of them. Like you many people get to earn the mega bucks and everything that goes with a good salary such as the house and car. However, after a while it dawns on people that is more to life than material possession.

Of course some people find themselves between jobs and use this time to consider changing their career.

New Career As A Hypnotherapist?
If your old career no longer inspires you, what career would have you hopping out of bed in the morning full of energy and enthusiasm? Many enlightened individuals like you realise that there is more to life than money and position. A more heart-felt and deeper reward is being able to help others enjoy a happier life. If you learn hypnosis and attend a hypnotherapist training school in the UK or USA you may just discover what life is really all about and just how powerful and positive influence you can have.

Hypnotherapists - The Most Rewarding Role
You will be choosing an amazing and highly rewarding career in seeking hypnosis training. It won’t make you rich but you can earn a full time income from being a hypnotherapist. Yet, the rewards are beyond monetary compensation. Just imagine helping a person reduce or eliminate the pain of arthritis. How about stopping someone smoking and putting years on the their life.

As a professionally trained hypnotist you literally change people’s lives. That is quite some skill and ability and it is well within the reach of anyone including you.

Hypnotherapy Schools and Hypnosis Training
Choosing your hypnotherapy school or hypnosis college is probably part of your dilemma when considering this change in career. There are so many hypnosis schools that the choice may seem overwhelming. Here are some ideas to help you decide which hypnotherapy training school would be best for you.

Choosing Your Hypnosis Training School

Cost – although this shouldn’t be the top priority, it is a factor in deciding. Know that the school that charges the highest fee does not mean you will get the best training. On the other hand paying $99 for a correspondence hypnosis course will not give you the practical confidence to be a competent hypnotherapist.

Location – make sure the hypnosis school is conveniently located for you. Remember most hypnosis courses will run over a period of time and will require your regular attendance as part of their qualification rules.

Duration – some schools offer intensive training that may be everyday. Others will offer a course that runs one weekend of every month. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages. Weigh these up to decide what duration of hypnotherapy training suits you.

Recognition – who recognises the hypnosis qualification or hypnotherapy certification of the school. You will want to know that your qualification is recognised by external bodies such as national hypnotherapy associations

Support – what extra support is available for you should you need it from the hypnotherapy school. What support is available when your qualify?

Recommended – if possible get a recommendation for a hypnotherapy school. If you can’t contact a hypnotist who has experienced the school’s training, support and ethos and make a more informed decision.

As a qualified hypnotherapist, you never stop learning, so you can always add to your skills and knowledge beyond the school you first trained with. The vast majority of schools in the UK, USA and elsewhere do provide an excellent grounding for becoming a competent and confident hypnotherapist.

Welcome to the wonderful world of hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy can help you with...

One of the main reasons for not seeking help from a hypnotherapist is not knowing the types of issues and problems, whether physical, psychological or emotional, that hypnotherapy may help.

Most people have heard that hypnotherapists help people to stop smoking, lose weight, release fears and phobias and gain more self confidence.

However there are a whole range of other issues that hypnotherapy can have a profound and positive impact on.

Pain relief is possible. This is of course not a substitute for medical assistance and should only be used as an adjunct to accepted medical help and not as a replacement.

Physical conditions such as Acid Reflux, IBS, Period Pain, Menopause, ME and other body functioning problems may be helped with a course of hypnotherapy.

Ultimately, if you have an issue which you are not sure will respond to hypnotherapy, just ask your local hypnotherapist for their advice.

Self Hypnosis - How to tackle life's challenges better

Most people accept the logic of exercise in whatever form, being an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Whether that exercise is salsa dancing, pilates, yoga, a regular game of football or a gym membership, you know that exercise is necessary part of staying well and agile.

Although exercise is mainly about physical health, it does have a positive knock-on effect on your state of mind. Through exercise the heart rate increases, the feel-good hormones, endorphins, are released and you generally feel good and motivated after exercise because of all this.

You might say that physical exercise has a useful side-effect of helping us to mentally feel better too.

Likewise, a mental practice such as self-hypnosis may help by tackling matters from the opposite direction. Self-hypnosis helps to calm the mind leading to physical relaxation. Indeed, with sleep being the ideal time and place where the body heals itself effectively, self-hypnosis can provide an ideal healing opportunity. Of course, whether you have a physical ailment or not, the body is constantly renewing cells and re-growing all parts of the body particularly during times of rest.

Self-hypnosis is an easy art which anyone can be proficient at. Once learnt it can be a life-long skill and used to help you with virtually any issue. Indeed some of the issues typically eased or resolved by self-hypnosis are :-

Low self confidence, stress, anxiety, nerves, depression, lack of motivation, numerous phobias including arachnophobia – fear of spiders, aviaphobia – fear of flying, public speaking, fear of heights, claustrophobia – fear of enclosed spaces, agoraphobia – fear of open spaces, and social phobia – anxiety around other people.

Mothers-to-be who choose to have a natural childbirth experience may use self-hypnosis to reduce and even eliminate any labour pains.

Self-hypnosis can be practised with a hypnosis cd or mp3 recording or can be original each time by using the power of your imagination. Self-hypnosis can be a very simple process or depending on the individual, quite intricate and multi-faceted.

There is no doubt that regular practice of self-hypnosis brings with it a calmer state of being and an ability to handle those sometimes tricky and taxing and unexpected life events.

Once you have honed your self-hypnosis skills, and this does not take long, you can use this amazing form of self help anywhere you choose to within reason. Some enlightened individuals practice self-hypnosis for 5 to 10 minutes on their train journey to work morning. Others may take 5 minutes out of their busy day to regain a sense of balance and harmony.

Usually it is recommended, at least initially, to spend 20 minutes each day on your self-hypnosis and to start off with, in the comfort of your home. After a few weeks this time duration of 20 minutes can be shortened or increased according to taste, time available and your needs.

So now you can look after your physical body and mind too. Just imagine how empowering it will feel to be fit, healthy and mentally strong and able. There is no doubt that those who are prone to nervous disorders such as ulcers and hypertension will benefit from regular use of self-hypnosis.

With the help of an experienced hypnotherapist, it only taking 60 minutes to learn the basics of self-hypnosis. Would you like to find out how self hypnosis can help you?

Past Life Regression

The process known as Past Life Regression takes someone (the subject) into hypnosis and then the subject is encouraged through various appropriate suggestions to bring to mind a life and that life's particular experiences.

As the person undergoing the process is describing a life which more often than not is from the past, it is called a past life. The word regression refers to the experience of going back (regressing) into the past.

Whether or not the past life or lives being described by the person has actually occurred isn't necessarily relevant to the experience or even the usefulness of the process. There are two distinct applications for Past Life Regression.

Firstly, Past Life Regression can be used for recreational purposes only. This is when a person is interested in discovering what past lives they might describe whilst in hypnosis. No is not a therapeutic side to this use of Past Life regression however in the hands of a skilled and experienced hypnotherapist there can be useful life lessons that can be utilised.

The other use of Past Life Regression, most often referred to as Past Life Healing, is when it is used for therapeutic reasons. For example, when a person has an issue and which no other forms of help has been able to resolve, a past life regression may just lead to the resolution of that issue.

One of the more well known past life regression examples when therapeutic benefit was gained was the example of a woman who had a fear of water. No other method of help has been able to resolve the phobia. During a past life regression she described being pushed into a canal by men and drowning in that past life. With the help of the therapist, this information was used to help the woman who then lost her phobia of water.

To summarise, Past Life Regression can be used for reasons of interest only or can form part of a professionally conducted therapy session. With both types of use the subject can gain useful insights into current behaviour and change unwanted behaviours.

UK Hypnotherapists - Choosing a Hypnotherapist (Part 1)

Okay, so you have decided that hypnotherapy is the type of help you would like to receive in order to overcome your issue. Now all you need to do is decide which hypnotherapist to see.

This may be where confusion starts to rain, as there are different titles for hypnotherapists such as Curative Hypnotherapists, Clinical Hypnotherapists, Hypnoanalysts, Suggestion Hypnotherapists and Psycho-hypnotherapists and probably a few others as well.

So even though you have made a decision to see a hypnotherapist it may seem that the title a hypnotherapist uses won't help you decide which type of hypnotherapist is right for you.

Well although the range of titles may confuse, there is a way of keeping your choices simple.

Some hypnotherapist use purely positive suggestions to help you overcome your issue. For many people this can be an effective way of resolving their issue. In fact all hypnotherapists will use positive suggestions as a matter of course. It is just that some hypnotherapists use this approach only and may use the title Suggestion Hypnotherapist or just 'hypnotherapist' but will describe their approach as being mainly that of positive suggestions to the subconscious mind.

All of the other types of hypnotherapist will use positive suggestions but they will also use other means of resolving your issue. The other means of resolving issues are many and varied but basically it will involve processes to identify the possible causes of the issue and then resolve the cause.

The psycho-hypnotherapist will have more psychotherapy type processes and approaches to dealing with issues and use these whilst you are in a hypnotic state.

The hypnoanalyst will as the name suggests, provide the opportunity to go through analysis whilst in the hypnotic state and include other aspects of your life and experiences that may have some bearing on the presenting issue.

Suggestion hypnotherapy is usually for small number of sessions e.g. 2 to 3. With hypnoanalysis this may last for anything from 6 sessions and upwards.

All types of UK hypnotherapists and their approaches have common ground and all can be highly effective.
